This program utilises the foundations of the MATE program, leadership and the bystander approach, to ensure participants are motivated and empowered to contribute to respectful and inclusive workplaces.
The MATE team will work with your organisation to tailor this program to ensure it is addressing the unique needs of your organisation. Creating Respectful Workplaces encourages participants to reflect on their personal contribution to the workplace and their ability to positively impact the culture through effective personal leadership. We apply the bystander approach to scenarios specific to your workplace and encourage participants to discuss and explore bystander action to support respectful and inclusive workplaces for all.
This workshop aligns with the Respect at Work recommendations and supports workplaces with implementing Positive Duty obligations. This workshop also supports the amendments to the Work Health and Safety Regulations to empower employees in the prevention of psychosocial risks.

The MATE team acknowledge and pay respects to the Kumbumerri Salt Water people, the traditional owners of the land on which our office sits. We acknowledge the Kumbumerri elders, past, present and emerging. We pay respects to all traditional owners across Australia where we meet, learn and work with others. MATE is committed to honouring Australian Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples’ unique cultural and spiritual relationships to the land, waters and seas and their rich contribution to society.
